Back for the start of March with a Card Maze Card.

Hi everyone, I am so glad to be back posting here on my blog. I did also enjoy my time off blogging but as many of you will have noticed I couldn't stay away and had to come in to see what everyone was up to. I am well.....just had to have time off to get my head around a couple of issues which are now getting worked through. So thanks everyone for coming in and leaving such lovely comments.

Now on to a card. :-) I made this for my nephews 17th birthday (last Saturday). He loves to go out riding on his trail bike. So when I saw this image in my collection from image swaps I have done over at Craftmad . I knew where to start on this card. I have also used Denise's Card Maze Challange for this card. Denise, gives you a list of items to find and use on your card. This gets me digging deep through my collection.

I have used a blue felt card (cardboard but a soft textured feeling). The background paper I have had forever and is from a pack that my Mum shared with me. I really love the cracked paint look. I added the zig zag which I received in a pack from the Craftmad Die Cut and Embossing swap. I coloured the image in with my water colour pencils. I add glossy accents to his helmet to make it shine like a real helmet. Finished with the yellow strip, ribbon and three silver brads.

P.S. Romance is still alive and well. My Poppa (grandfather-in-law) has just popped the question. He is 95 (turns 96 in a couple of months) and she is 90. Is that cute or what!!!

  1. Sorry I haven't visited for a while.
Great card for a teenage boy. You did a wonderful job with it.

You asked me about photocopying the shrink plastic. Just put the plastic in rear tray of printer and photocopy instead of scanning. I have the inkjet shrink plastic.

  3. Hi Merry

Good to have you back and with a great card at that. The zig zags lend themselves to the bike really well.
