I have been busy creating different things on this second week and last week of my holidays.  This is my finished tea cosy for the Mulgrave Settlers Museum annual competition .  It's by no means a winner but I did enjoy knitting again after about twenty years.  It will add to the number of entries. I think it is pom pom top heavy.  I found this fantastic technique for making pom poms which claims to be five times faster……and it was.   Visit Homemade gifts made easy to find out how.  Our daughter always knows how to make us laugh.  Here she is wearing it on her head when she arrived home.  I told her it was a tea cosy and she said I thought it might be, then she stands in front of the mirror and says "What are the two holes for"?   I said back to her while laughing…….. Sadly, I had to make a sympathy card for the wife of one of the volunteers of the local museum who passed away.  I have had these wonderful lily stickers in my stash for a long time and this was perfect for my card.  So simply a bit of layering with white card stock which I ran through one of my embossing folders.  Sentiment is computer generated. Hope your day is a good one.

For our June swap over at Craftmad ( Pinterest album here ) we had to copy/case/be inspired by earlier cards in our Pinterest album.  I chose Kaye's card below.  Dug out the Kraisercraft papers I was given at Christmas time and embellished with pearls and a doily.  I really like the end result. Card by Kaye For my second card I was inspired by the card I had received in an earlier swap from Kerry (below).  Kerry had done the weaving so neatly that it did look like a quick card to put together.  However, the weaving on each corner was fiddlier than I expected.  I chose the sticker which I adhered to card stock and cut around.  Decided that the lovely light blue glitter paper would make the perfect background and cut thin strips of blue, yellow and red, colours picked from the sticker.
