Cousin's present - card set

I am back....our computer/modem decided that we didn't need to be online for 16hours and then when it did come back online it kept keeping us off after a short time. I thought this was funny but my 15yo son was not amused when he got home from school and sat down at the computer which was actually online and .......the power went out. lol Yes, we lost power for 1 hour.
Touch wood all is going well today and I can share this quick present that I created for my cousin's birthday last Tuesday. My cousin is not a crafty person so I thought I why not give her some cards she can use whenever she needed them. So I made five cards using black leather craft card for the base card, white paper which I ran through different cuttlebug folders. I then added a different background paper to each of the embossed papers. Finished with appropriate greetings.
The orange and yellow flowers I received a couple of years ago in a Secret Santa present. They are so pretty and I wanted to use them somewhere special. So finally got the chance. The wording on the pink ribbon 'Celebration Time' is a letraset rub on. The background paper on the purple card is handmade paper I made a lot of years ago. I love it when things I have saved forever finally have a use.
I made the little star satchel to hold all the cards. I fold the paper in half and stuck together with double sided tape along the bottom and the back seam of the bag. I then got out my circle nestabilities and cut a circle in the top to make the cards easier to get to.
I haven't said this for a while but I really enjoy reading everyone's comments on my blog and appreciate you visiting and checking out what I have been up to. Thanks. Happy Thursday everyone.

  3. That stinks when you can't get on the computer and also a double whammy of no electricity!! What a bummer! Hope all is straightened out now! These cards are so nice...I am completely jealous because I do not have an embossing machine ... YET!! I am trying to wait til x-mas but it is so hard to be patient!
