Sewing Swap - Potholder

Yes, this months sewing swap over at Craftmad is a potholder. Something I have never made before but will try again. I need practice on attaching the bias binding neatly. My partner said that she preferred blue so that is how the potholder came about. I dug out this fat quarter of blue I had with a lovely floral design. Cut two 9" squares........strange I wasn't working in metric. Then I cut six squares of flannelette material I had to use as the batting. Then sewed the straight lines across all layers about 1" apart. Trimmed and added the grey bias binding as that is what I had on hand.
If you make potholders what do you use for your batting/wadding?

  2. Oh yeah...almost forgot. I wanted to mention that the ink didn't bleed but the copic colors went outside the lines when I blended...like it pushed the ink outside the line becauase it was too wet but then it has to be wet to do anything so yeah...I'm totally confused! Hope I get lots of good answers!

Afraid I can't help with your question, not done much sewing for a year or two as can't really see well enough so gave my machine to my DIL - thought it best when I sewed my finger for the second time !
