Santa and candles..... paper tole/decoupage

Morning everyone, middle of the week already.  A bit cloudy here today but I don't think we will get any rain out of it.  Just good indoor weather. :-)

Isn't the green in this card lovely and the burst or red from the poinsettia terrific.  Yes, all these matching embellishments came from the Mini 3D Christmas booklet along with the paper tole image.   Amazing how much they fit into this little book.  The card was started on a white prescored card from Blue Edge Crafts.

This card I started off with SU Cherry Cobbler, then this lovely patterned paper SU Jolly Holiday.  I attempted to cut out the circle behind the candles with my circle spellbinder but of course it was just a tad too big.  So I held my breath and crossed my fingers while I tried to trim around the edge with scissors.  Of course, it wasn't as neat as would like.  So thought I would add a gold sticker border but discovered I had run out.  So I sat and added each little dot to the edge of the border.  Really like the result.  The dots were just leftover pieces from other gold sticker.

Here comes Santa Claus.  Kept this card really simple as I started with this pre-scored white corrugated textured card for the base.  I then found this wonderful stocking sticker and added some sticker holly leaves to each end.  Of course, I had to add a Merry Christmas sticker sentiment.

These cards will jetsetting their way soon to be added to the Aussie Troops collection.

  1. Ooooo I feel totally spoilt Merry I just adore these cards to bits they look so professional and what quality I love them, can't wait to see more. I particularly love the first one with the long bit down the side, the Santa one is so traditional which i love. Superb work.
