Washi Tape Cards

Now this card I really liked the end result.  My inspiration from Pinterest a post on how to create Washi Tape stickers.  I added strips of my washi tape to the grey card stock then punched out stars from each strip.  Attached yellow card behind the grey card stock and that was going to be the end of my design.  However, when I looked at it the washi tape strips looked like candles to me and one of the punched out stars had landed near the top and just finished the candle off nicely.  So I attached all the stars to the tops of the washi tape.  Finished the card with a sticker sentiment from Sticker Store.

For this card I started with a blank white card with a wavy front edge.  Attached strips of my washi tape to a piece of white card stock to create this beautiful topper.  Then attached a piece of twine with 'Happy' spelt out in beads.  Finished with a 'Birthday' die cut.

These two cards have been mailed off to my March Craftmad Swap partner and yes the theme this month was Washi Tape. :-)  You can see all the other wonderful members creations here in the March Swap 2014 Craftmad Gallery.
