Stamping Vacation DT - Pick Three Challenge

Now this challenge is one of my favourites over at Stamping Vacation and I have been doing it a long time.  It's called Pick Three and that is exactly what you do.  Pick Three items from the list that Denise provides to create your card.

 Circle tag
     String
     Vellum
     Frame
     image with a building
     brad
     black paper
     eyelet
     anything yellow

For the card above I picked. 1. Black Paper 2.Brad 3. String
I used a white Blue Edge Crafts Card.  Then a layered the front with half black paper that I have run through the Swiss Dots embossing folder and the other half spotty paper from a DCWV paper stack.  I then attached a brad top and bottom of the centre join and ran some string around the brads making sure to twist in the centre.  I dug out my Just Rite Stampers to create the tag.

I was having so much fun with this challenge I created another card. Amazing how different they can turn out.  You should visit Stamping Vacation to see the other two Design Team members wonderful cards.

This card again I started with a white Blue Edge Crafts card, layer of orange card then a layer of beach patterned paper from a magazine giveaway.   This wonderful image, sorry but I am not sure where I got this from if anyone knows please let me know so I can edit.  Thanks. I coloured with my water colour pencils and aquabrush.  Then layered it up and added black eyelets to each corner and threaded through string.  I discovered that I had this 'Beach' stamp in my collection and thought it was perfect for the card.
Finished the card by tying three boating knots that I found in a book we have here.

So the three items I picked from Denise's list were: - 1. Anything yellow 2. Eyelets 3. String

  5. Both are great cards but I just LOVE how you did the twine in that second card around the main image! Good work! And as you commented before it is the same image I used not long ago and it is from There's Magic in the Air...which I think her shop actually goes by Paper Cupcakes? I always just put TMITA because that is what I am used to doing! LOL! Did you see my question about your giveaway? Wanted to know if we could enter more than one project?

    Have a good day!
