Our Craftmad card swap for November (gallery here) was a little different as we had to make a 'bag and tag'. I found a template online for the bag and used SU patterned paper. I decided this was a good time to use some washi tape so ran a strip down the centre of the bag. The flower I created by cutting a circle and then cutting a spiral into that circle (used Pooi tutorial here) I then had three different rolls of washi tape and tore small pieces off and attached randomly to the spiral until it was covered. Then curled the spiral up to form the flower. I am really happy with the results. I also got to use my leaf Spellbinder that I have not used often. The ribbon for the handles I found in my stash…it's so pretty.
For the tag I have used some glitter paper, SU patterned paper and rows of washi tape. The banner is card stock covered in more washi tape. The wonderful twine had just arrived on my desk from the very generous Gail finished the tag nicely. :-)
They are gorgeous Merry and such an elegant design and colours too! Chris x

ReplyDeleteGreat swap idea, love the bag and tag!
ReplyDeleteI really like your tag! So pretty! I'm enjoying the transcriptions because of the old women's magazines I get to read and see all the crafts that ladies do. Doesn't your museum have transcription projects going? Some of the Women's Household magazines have overseas contributors too. I think I saw one from Aussie the other day, but since these are 1965 and older, you probably wouldn't know this person. I've also been transcribing old cookbooks that were fund-raisers that people contributed to.
ReplyDeleteI forgot to tell you that I joined Pinterest the other day. . .
ReplyDeleteGorgeous bag and tag Merry makes a fun combination.
