Fishing Card and some flowers

Hi everyone, it's another week and another month.  Things are certainly moving.  We have a public holiday here today in Queensland - Bank Holiday.  Nothing planned...probably some more time in the garden since the weather is so lovely.

Now on to the card.  I made this for my nephew as you can see he is now a teenager.  He has just started going out fishing with his Dad in the boat.  Seems to be enjoying every moment of it as he facebooks about all his catches. :-)

So I started with SU Really Rust card then added a layer of DCWV textured card.  Next I found my wonderful fishing stickers from the Sticker Store.  Coloured them with my markers and metallic pens.  Added a touch of raffia instead of a pretty ribbon.  Finished with a sentiment that I printed on the computer.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

I have some flower photos to share.  Years ago we created a garden especially for the kids.  Well the plants were a little old and tired and my daughter decided it was time to pull them all out and start again.  Here are some of the new plants we planted last weekend.  Enjoy.  Yes, all photos taken by DD.
