Image
Hi everyone, well that was a busy day for me.   Now the weekend is almost upon us.  I am busy all day Saturday but hoping to catch up on a weeks worth of everyone's postings on Sunday. :-) Today is the start of a new challenge over at Cardmadfairy Digi Days. This time the challenge is to use the sketch and two colours posted above. Our sponsor this fortnight is: For my card I started with these lovely shade of purple Bazzill Card then a layer of the worded Vellum.  Which is very apt for us at the moment as it is cold..... 10C this morning.  Mind you it does heat up to a lovely and warm 26C.  I attached the vellum with these wonderful square brads .  Then used layered up Stampin Up Night of Navy and Taken with Teal.  The teal card I ran through my Swiss Dots embossing folder.  I cut three Taken With Teal circles with my Spellbinders.   The oval I cut with my newest Spellbinder, my first chance to use it.  The digi image is from Ca...

Cardmadfairy's Digi Days Challenge - Glamour and Glitz - DT Card

I had a wonderful time visiting everyones creations for the Distressing Challenge last fortnight. So many talented people and so many wonderful Digi's available.   Congratulations to the winner. This is my DT card for Cardmadfairy's Digi Days Challenge.  This fortnight the theme is Glamour and Glitz .  Challenge ends 18th March.  Be sure to pop over and see the rest of the Design Team creations...what a talented bunch they are. Remember your creation must include a Digi image.  If you use a Cardmadfairy Image that will count for two entries into the prize draw. :-) For my card I started with Raven Bazzill card  which I layered with the new Design Papers from Blue Edge Crafts.  I have used Cardmadfairy's Oriental Fairy  Digi Stamp.  I coloured her with my water colour pencils and gold metallic pen.  I added gold glitter to her wings.  Found these wonder Asian stickers in my collection. Finished the corner with a gold bord...

Cardmadfairy's Digi Days Challenge - Distressing - DT Card

Image
This is my DT card for Cardmadfairy's Digi Days Challenge .....this fortnight it is all about DISTRESSING .  Not something I have done a lot of but get a real satisfaction when I do do it.  I have used Cardmadfairy's wonderful Sleepy Morris  for this creation.  I made this for my Penpals daughter whose birthday was on Tuesday and I know she loves cats.  I made a Joy Fold card using Stampin Up papers and card.  I stitched all the paper panels onto the card.  To distress the edges I dug out my scissors and dragged the blade along the edge of the paper.  I coloured Sleepy Morris with my water colour pencils and aquamarkers.  Found three buttons to glue in the bottom corner.  Also parted with some of this beautiful lace I have been saving for just the right occasion.  So come on over to Cardmadfairy's Digi Days Challenge and add your creation so that I can visit and be inspired to try more distressing.  :-) Remember you must inc...

Snow Baby's Gift

Image
Morning everyone, last day of the week and it's fine and sunny. :-) Today's card I have used another of Jenni's new digi images from Cardmadfairy's Creations .  Isn't this the cutest baby....she looks so cuddly.  (Snowbaby's Gift)  I have coloured her with my watercolour pencils and added some Kindy Glitz to the white areas.   On the stars I have used a new thing that I have just bought.  It is called Sparkle and Soft.   As the name suggests it is glitter mixed with some soft flocking.  The photo doesn't really show it too good and I would like to try it on a bigger area next time.   So I started with my white BE card  then a layer of this lovely spotted green paper which I won in some candy. :-)  Dug out my Stampin Up tab punch for the purple tab.  Stamped 'For You' on there and then went around the edge with my black pen for some faux stitching.  Found a rub-on snowflake and filled the centre with bling.  Down the...

Today Jenni, Cardmadfairy Creations has released five new digital christmas stamps and they are such fun. That is what I played with on my weekend away as well as other things.  Here is her Xmas Owl he was such fun to colour in and would really come to life as I added colour.   To create this card I started with a white BE card  then a layer of Stampin Up Cherry Cobbler topped with the Stampin Up Design Paper - Jolly Holiday.  This is a new design paper pack for me and I so love the colours.  Cut out a branch freehand for the owl to stand on and punched the leaves with the new Stampin Up bird and leaf punch.  The Xmas Owl I have coloured with with my watercolour pencils, added Kindy Glitz and some ...
