Mud Puddles

I made this card for a Stamping Vacation challenge but sadly Denise has had to put all challenges on hold due to family circumstances.  She is right - family always comes first.

The challenge was to be all about 'Mud Puddles'.   We have had a few of those this year.
I remembered I had this wonderful image in my collection which I have never used.  It is from Arthur's Clipart.  I coloured it with my Copic pens and happy now that I have two shades of the same colour so I can do some shading.  Although I will have to learn how people leave those white areas in the appropriate places and so forth.  When I printed out the image I added this great quote with it.
To create the card I started with a sketch challenge for Mojo Monday but I am missing a square so can't enter the challenge but thankful for the help.  I used Java Bazzill card then a layer of SU patterned paper and a layer of red Bazzill card.  Along the bottom I added a strip of SU card.  Dug out my Just Rite stampers for the Happy Birthday sentiment.  Used my spellbinder circle and scalloped edged circles to cut the sentiment out.  Finished with some bling.

I would also like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Stamping Vacation - DT Card - Fountain of Youth Challenge - The Zoo

Hi everyone, I have another Design Team card for you.
This time it is for the Fountain of Youth challenge at Stamping Vacation this closes 20th May.
This month it is all about Zoo's.
I dug through my digital images and came across this wonderful Hippo which I received from Alison over at Free Digital Stamps.
I remembered that I had this fantastic water background paper.  So I printed the image out on the water paper also added the 'Hello' word.   Then I printed the hippo out again onto some textured grey paper from DCWV.  I then cut the hippo out and paper pieced the image.   Finished by adding three bling.
A nice quick card but I so love the results.

So now it's your turn to show me all your zoo related creations.  I can't wait to visit and see them all.
Remember every time you enter a challenge (a different challenge everyday of the month) you go into the monthly draw for a $25.00 gift certificate to the store of the winners choice.

Another reminder......once Stamping Vacation reaches 400 followers and followers name will randomly be drawn and will be give a $20.00 gift certificate......we are currently at 383 followers...so not long to go.

Stamping Vacation DT Card - Fountain of Youth Challenge - Birds, Nest, Eggs

This is my DT card for Stamping Vacations - Fountain of Youth Challenge using Birds, Nests or Eggs.
I have used the Craftmad February Sketch Challenge to get me started on this card too.
I have coloured the images with my water colour pencils and gold metallic pen.
I started with a orange base card then used this bright and cheery paper I had in my collection.
Found some card that matched the spots well and adhered that to the back of the image.
Placed some Stampin Up grossgrain ribbon down the side of the card.
Then layered up the rub-on greeting which says. "May your day be filled with joy".

Can't wait to see your creations.
Remember to go to Stamping Vacation and add them to the "inlinkz tool".
This will put you in the running for this months prize drawn 1st March which is a $25.00 Gift Certificate to the store of your choice. :-)

While there check out the 29 other challenges available.

This card is now on it's way to my February card swap partner over at Craftmad.
Our swap this month asked for two cards made using the Craftmad February Card Sketch.

I would like to enter into these challenges too:

Robot Card

I made this card for my friends little boy's 3rd birthday.
I have used the wonderful robot stamp (Robots2Build) from Stamps for Life.
I coloured him with my silver and gold metallic pens.  Teamed him up with this wonderful cog patterned paper I have in my collection.  Stamped some cogs on the white card and then overstamped with the Happy Birthday sentiment all from the same set.  I thought the card need a little dirtying up since it was going to a little boy.  So I put my finger on the ink pad and tried to leave my dirty finger prints on the card.  I think I was a little too heavy on the ink.

DT Card -Fountain of Youth Challenge (Kite Flying) - Stamping Vacation

Morning everyone, this was a fun challenge.  This card is for the Fountain of Youth Challenge over at Stamping Vacation.  Denise, has us remembering kite flying during our younger years and has asked for a creation that includes a kite.  I didn't have any kite stamps so headed off to Google.  I found some wonderful kite instructions which I resized and printed out on blue card to create the background for my card.  Next I cut out the kite shape from my scrap papers added a tail of kitchen string and scrap bits of ribbon knotted at end.  Once again used the computer to print out my greeting which I have attached with 3D foam.

Now it is your turn......I would love to see what creations you can come up with.  Be sure to enter them over at Stamping Vacation as I will come and visit you all.  As if that is not enough...a visit from me......lol..... there is a monthly prize on offer.

Yes, the prize for October which is drawn at the end of the month is 4 Digi Images from Stamping Dragon Designs and a $15.00 gift certificate from Papertry Ink.    You can enter as many times as you like and once at Stamping Vacation you may just find another challenge that suits you or the card.  As Denise has a challenge for every day of the month.  Yes, you can enter every challenge if you like.
