Two new Soccer Cards

I had a lovely surprise email in my inbox last Thursday arvo.  It was from Dayle who had been googling and come across my Thank You Soccer cards and requested two by this coming Friday.
I was so very honoured to be asked.

The thing is when I make a lot of my cards it is with items I have in my stash which means often the last pieces of items in my stash.  So the original Soccer card here I had used the last of my wonderful green glitter paper from Blue Edge Crafts.  This meant I had no more for these cards, so I rang my friend who does Stampin Up Ruth and asked for green Glimmer paper.  Ruth only had silver Glimmer paper but suggested using ink on it for the right colour.  Thought this is great as I have a Wild Wasabi inkpad and that was the cardstock I planned using.  Well to start with I was just stamping the inkpad onto the Glimmer paper which meant only a hint of green.  Then I shut the inkpad and pressed so the ink went onto the lid and using a slightly wet  paintbrush picked up the ink and began painting the Glimmer paper.  Great result.  In the end I had one card base Wild Wasbi and the other Always Artichoke.  Again, I used my Spellbinder Octagon die to create the soccer ball and my Justrite Letters for the sentiment.  The cards were in the mail on Saturday morning.

Wonder what this week will bring....hope it is a good one for you.
