DT Card for Unstampabelles Challenge - Use one or more Dies

Happy New Year everyone, my first post for the year. I hope all is going well for you so far.  We (the family) spent the week at Oak Beach just south of Port Douglas celebrating in the New Year and also my husband's 50th birthday.  A wonderful time was has and I will share photos very shortly.

Today I am excited to share with you the details of our very first Unstampabelles Challenge for 2013.  This month we are looking for creations that use one or more dies.  Remember no stamps or digs. I made this card for my close friend Anita who's birthday was on the 3rd of January and she is now happily cruising around Singapore area.  I started with a white base card then attached white cardstock which has been run through the Victoria embossing folder.  Next I used my dies which are all Spellbinders.  I attached three Hexagon shapes to which I added a flower to the centre of each.  The flowers were created with the Crown Circles and Scalloped Edged Circles Dies.  The paper I used for the flowers is pre crinkled paper included in a Flower Kit from Blue Edge Crafts which gives a lovely texture to the flowers.

This shows all the dies I have used and the flowers before they were assembled.
The centre layer I cut approximately 1cm towards the centre on every second scallop then I used the embossing tool on the back of the petals to give them a little shape.

There is a wonderful prize pack on offer this month our challenge from our sponsor Craftmad. My favourite online crafting forum.  You can enter here at Unstampabelles.
