Hi everyone, hope you had a fantastic weekend. It was very warm here. I sewed and sewed all weekend. Yes, working on the quilt to go on the lounge. Finally up to the quilting stage which seems to be going smoothly. That is mainly because I am using a walking foot that I bought for my machine about four years ago. I was so keen after making my one and only patchwork quilt which I just used my regular machine foot for and yes things puckered and pulled. I sewed up another quilt top and raced out and bought a walking foot.....but I got sidetracked and it has been sitting in the box since.
The card above is my last kit card from the Craftmad get together. I really enjoyed putting this card together and love the fun shoe shape. It does show in the photo but that is a black glitter paper for the shoe....very sparkly in real life.
Hubby was out with the camera yesterday morning taking a variety of flower shots in our yard. This was my favourite our frangipanis that are just coming out. If you click on the photo you will see a larger version and hopefully see the little native honey bee about to delve into the front left flower.
I had to share this, it looks so much prettier in real life....a lot more glitter and bling that does not show in the photo. Our daughter drew this up free hand to give to her friend that turned 16 on Saturday. Don't panic about the baby pram....that is just to symbolise that her friend is the youngest in their group and finally reached 16. I love all the doodling near the R at the bottom. The more you look the more you see. Once again if you click on the photo you can see a larger view.
Have a lovely day. I will as I have my close friends coming over for lunch today. Will be great to catch up. :-)
