Something a little different for me.
I had won a lovely gift pack from Karen over at Being Karen a little while ago and had really wanted to use some of the items inside. One piece was the dress pattern and the other is a page from a book.
I started off with Stampin Up Certainly Celery for the base of the card and decided to have a different fold also. I covered pink cardstock with the dress pattern and added it to the left front of the card. Next I paper pieced and coloured with copic pens this wonderful image from Passion for Stamps.....a clear mounted stamp I bought way back when Ruth was starting out. Ruth has many more beautiful digi images now. I used my Spellbinder Lables and Oval dies to create the sentiment tag which I have used a Stampin Up stamp. Then added a little heart bling. On the right side I layered up with Stampin Up Burgandy Bravo then the book page. This beautiful ribbon I bought from Mei Flower. The flowers I created from organza ribbon twisted and the swirled into a flower. I must say this was a little more time consuming than I planned as the organza ribbon had a mind of it's own .... untwisting all the time. Then I found it hard to adhere to the little circle background disc. I stuck at it for two days. :-) and got there. Finished the flowers with a touch of metallic gold chalk.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone.
I plan on being back Monday with some exciting photos to share.....probably not a card in sight. :-)
I really like the image and how you've paper pieced her. The papers look fab and love the cardstock choices too. Fab ribbon flowers!! A beautiful card.

ReplyDeleteHow stylish and unusual is this card, Merry and those organza flowers so rich and rustic. I can imagine how it must have been to handle organza but I must say that you did a BRILL job. Love the text paper, too.
