I spied this post when googling about book art and fell in love with all the wonderful ideas on
this wonderful blog called Ashbee Designs. So now am a follower.
I visited yesterday to take a closer look at Marji's post about Wood that Works Photography.
Only to discover that her husband (David) is also super creative.
He makes the most amazing wood sculptures and they live up to the business name.
I have been thinking about them all day and just have to share the link.
Be sure to visit his blog and watch the videos of his wood work in action.
So wish I had an extra $1000 laying around as I would certainly purchase one of his amazing creations.
Have a great weekend. It's a wet one here.
Thanks for sharing Merry! We love things made from wood, so shall share this with DH. If only we did have lots of spare$$$ lol! Have a lovely weekend, take careX:)

ReplyDeleteYou asked about the wavey ribbon, have tried all ways, but found that the very fine, extra tacky dst does it and not show up so much either...hope that helps.xx
Hi Merry, just stopping by to say Hi and to thank you for taking the time to leave me a comment over at my blog for the LUFP post. It's exciting to have been chosen to be on their DT and what more important cause could women work for?! I love this post and I am off to look at the book blog you are talking about...I make handmade books too!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend,
Hugs,
Beth

ReplyDeleteOoh! A fun new blog to check out! Thanks for the tip! I love love love that wall art...is it a clock? It's amazing!
ReplyDeleteCool pics...I will have to check this out! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteWhoa Merry! I am a little late to the party here. I have been tooling around your site looking at the lovely cards and I found two neat things - 1. You are from Australia and 2. You did a feature on both David and me! That is a first and I was incredibly excited to see it. Thanks so much. David has a number of collectors in Australia. The internet can make the world such a small place.
ReplyDeleteIn answer to Amy E.: The wall art is not a clock although it is an escapement mechanism (as is a wind-up clock). It is a kinetic sculpture- motion for the sake of motion.
