Lemonade Scones

Something different today. I just had a need to make scones. Normally, my end results are rock cakes but I have to share this recipe as I got these following comments. From hubby "I have found someone to marry" (we have be married 20+ years). From son "Mum you will have to cook these all the time" and the best comment from our 15yo son " I'm full". :-)

Lemonade Scones

Ingredients:

1 cup Lemonade
1 cup Cream
3 cups Self Raising Flour
1 Egg
1. Preheat oven to 220C
2. Add Lemonade, Cream and SR Flour to a bowl, mix to form a soft dough, turn out on to a floured surface.
3. Knead dough to a 2cm thickness and then cut out with floured scone cutter.
4. Place close together on tray and brush with beaten egg. Bake for 10-15mins.

I ended up with about 25 scones.
