My daughter turns 13 in 12days time and this is her card creation for her father's birthday which is tomorrow....1st Jan. She has used Bazill Bling for the base card and added stickers and torn paper to create the sea scene. I love the holes she has punched down the side and threaded the ribbon through. I asked her where the idea came from and apparently it just popped in her head....I am thinking very clever.

Happy Birthday Hubby
One day I will figure out how to arrange these photos. I have been trying to put the two little photos side by side. This is the card that I have made for my hubbys birthday on the 1st January. I am assuming he doesn't look at my card blog that is why I have posted it so early. Otherwise 'Surprise' this is your birthday card. :-) I have been going through my pile of card magazines pulling out the pages that interest me and binning the remainder (...not much is making it to the bin). One of the UK magazines had a series of cards with these doodled letters so I thought I would give it a go. Finally, got to use papers from my scrapbox. I attached all the letters to blue Bazzil Bling and then pin pricked around the edge. The cake I stamped using SU Fun Filled. I had fun creating all the different letters.

Making a start on 2009
Yesterday I finally had the urge to create a card. Haven't really felt like it since the millions of Christmas cards I seemed to have made. :-) My brother Mike's birthday is in the first week of Jan so thought I should start with him.
I used:
SU Cardstock Chocolate Chip
Close to Cocoa
Not quite Navy
Edged the paper and the letter 'M' with Timber Brown Stazon Ink
Paper is KaiserKraft Lone Ranger which I topped with SU ribbon Chocolate Chip.
I added three eyelets and just in case my brother forgot he is getting older I added the Letraset rub-on to remind him.
I just love all the wonderful names that the companies come up with to name their products.

Christmas Bauble
This is the last of my 2008 Christmas Card Creations. I had a good time with these. Creating the topper I used cream board with rounded corners. I tore an edge off a piece of paper and placed it about 1cm from the top of the topper then inked the area that was showing. Then used SU Priceless Flourish, I stamped over the inked area while the paper was still there to mask the remainder of the topper. I then punched a cirle in the paper and used this as a stencil to ink the baubles. Once it was inked I left the punched out paper there to mask the topper while I stamped the flourish. The elongated shape I cut on the craft robo. I used SU Rose Red inkspots and Black ink for the flourishes. I then used gold sticker leftoves for the tops of the bauble and the string holding it, added a gold Merry Christmas sticker. I then sewed the topper to the SU Rose Red card with two rows of straight stitching. Great Fun!!!!

Mouse Birthday
Hi everyone, I have decided it is time to discover this wonderful world of blog. There are so many things for me to learn e.g. a fantastic background and header, how to add photos nicely and much more. This is a card I made for my niece's third birthday. I used a mouse image that I received in an image swap over at Craftmad. I coloured the mice and cake in using SU pens and an aqua pen, added Kindy Glitz to the icing. I then stamped Happy Birthday on a pink ribbon and attached this to the bottom of the image before attaching to the card.

Blog on Hold
I have decided to put this blog on hold until after Christmas and when the New Year starts. I just don't have enough time at the moment. Especially with three other members in the house that are now on holidays and want a turn on the computer. I figure in the New Year I will go in search for a challane per day. I know that I will definetly be trying out the Cuttlebug Challenges. So until the next year....Have a very Merry Christmas. :-)

Christmas Tree
I found some feathers laying around and since they were green and it's close to Christmas they became Christmas trees. I embossed the white background using a cuttlebug folder....I must write down all these folders names so I can share them with you. Swiss Dots...I remembered. Glued on the feather and added some bling, tied on a piece of gold metallic thread and added a sticker star to the end. Then added a gold striped pot to the bottom of the tree.
I have just been blog surfing, boy there are so many talented people out there. Also so many challenges to try out but I will leave that for the New Year. Life is hectic enough without added challenges.

Christmas Cards - Iris Folding
Time for a little bit of Christmas. I found these bell cut out cards and the lovely christmas papers. So put two and two together. I cut the papers into 1cm strips and attached to the rear of the bell on a iris pattern that I had drawn up.

December Sketch Challenge
I haven't forgotten about my blog. Life and the heat had kept me away. Yesterday, I needed to make a card for a friends birthday and decided to yous the Craftmad Sketch Challenge . It was helpful to have a starting point. I used:
White Bazill Bling
Stampin Up Board Rose Red, Always Artichoke
Stampin Up Flourish - Priceless
Gold ribbon
The rose I recieved as a birthday present from another crafting lady. She had stamped and embossed some of her favourite stamps for me. Great idea.
