Just Because

Another of my cards to our son.  As the title says "Just Because" or it's a "hello".  More stash I have held onto for way too long.  The papers I have not been in love with or found a project to use on before so this card put them to good use.  I pin pricked the edge of the layered card front on which I have added a collection of bubble stickers I have had forever.  To me they are more suited to scrap booking which I never do.  I constantly look at them but the sentiments never fit a card I have worked on.  I have covered some of the really soppy sentiments with little paper punched dinosaurs I have also had for a very long time.  Actually, the dinosaurs were collected one day when the kids were still at primary school (they are now 19 and 20).  We visited my Mum's one school holidays and she dug out all her paper punches and let the kids punch all the shapes to their hearts content.  So its nice to put their fun in to use at long last.

Thanks for your comments and visiting, I really appreciate it. :-)

  4. It's always a smiley moment to get mail even if you know who the sender is - I'm sure your son knows he is missed and in your thoughts.

  6. It's cold here. I started a new board at Pinterest called BRRR! It's a combination humor and idea board -- like looking for hot water bottle cozy covers and how to make insulating curtains, etc. to warm up the house. We're suppose to get snow this weekend. I went to the doctor today thinking I had a sinus infection and he told me I was on the tail end of the flu. So have been dragging around here all week. I decided to stay in for my Creative Wednesday and read Stephanie Ackerman's blog. I joined her Documented Faith 2015 art journal focus group. Haven't started yet, as the studio had to be put into shape before I can do anything, so decided to read her blog to see if I missed anything and found some cute ideas for projects. Have you ever made an art journal? I have a list of art journalists at the bottom of my craft blog if you want to take a look-see.
