Halfway Inspiration for Unstampabelles

Hi everyone a bit of half way inspiration for our challenge at Unstampabelles this month.  It is all about using your scraps and old stash.  So I googled for a bit of inspiration and came across Alison's card here.  I knew that I had the blue 'hello' in my stash so that was the starting point for the colours of papers I punched circles from.  I attached these circles to a strip of paper which I then trimmed to fit the front of the card.  I have been hemming up curtains so my sewing machine was all out and ready to use for this card.  Inked around the edges of the card and each of the circles.

At this time we have an amazing 35 entries into this months challenge.  So many wonderful ideas of using up old stash and scraps.  You can enter here to have your chance in the fantastic prize from Craftmad.

We are enjoying our newly renovated house and yes, photos are still coming.  I am so surprised as I am still unpacking things and getting rid of things.  Down to the last few which are the ones I have been putting in the too hard basket.  Finally got to hang the curtains in the family room on the weekend.  Took over a month for our curtain rods to arrive.  So now I am re-hemming the curtains as we had to lower one set to fit under the aircon which set the height for all the curtains in the room.  Nice and easy sewing just finding the time that is hard .... like always.    Our daughter has been doing lots of exams at school for her final year.  So she has been spending a bit of time at home in between exams....so I am sidetracked with her.  My Dad had to have an op on Monday (yesterday) so was worried about him but  visited him yesterday afternoon and he is very comfortable and settled in for a couple days of TV watching with total control of the remote control.

Just had to share these beautiful roses.  Our daughter did a Drama assessment yesterday and props were needed.  So her friend raided their garden....I so hope Mum knows.  As the friend had to stay at school longer our daughter was able to bring them home with her and we now have the pleasure of admiring their lovely colours and smelling the lovely scent.

Well must dash and start on the next task.  I will catch up with you soon.

  1. What a clever way to use up some of those scraps Merry, we all have so many and it's easy to cast them aside.
