Morning everyone, another new week, and new challenge at Unstampabelles. This time we are asking you to add 'paper flowers' to your creations. Remember, no stamps to be included (rubber or digital).
I decided to do a little origami for this challenge. Found a wonderful Verdi Vase video tutorial here. For the vase I have used some gold paper with a pretty silver flower pattern (21cm x 21cm). The paper is a little thicker than normal and I think in the end this helped the vase stand nicely. I am not normally a video tutorial person but it worked so well for me this time as the creator had no talking just music playing while he made the vase. I could stop and start it as I pleased. It may look tricky but pretty easy, just a lot of folding. I then used this Lily Photo Tutorial to create the origami flowers. I just used some purple copy paper for these flowers - 10cm x 10cm. If anything I think a couple of the folds were trickier in the flower but still fun to make. I then went for a walk around the yard and found a couple of twigs which I attached the flowers to with florist tape.
This is the wonderful prize pack on offer this month at Unstampabelles. Kindly donated by Blue Edge Crafts.
Be sure to pop on over to the Unstampabelles blog and see the rest of the Design Teams Paper Flowers.

ReplyDeleteHi Merry,
ReplyDeleteThese flowers are so cool and a wonderful color as well. Am so sorry that I have not been regular in my communication - just too much going on!!! At present we are in Singapore to see the doctor. I had to get a minor surgery done - today I will come to know more about it but hopefully all will go well.
Thanks so much for standing by me in my rough phase. You are so kind - sorry that I am not sending a personal email. Gotta go to see the doctor soon. Thought I would just visit you and leave a little note.
On the good side, I have bought me a lappy - an apple one and am quite pleased with the idea. At last I have my own lappy that can be taken around to any room in our home.
Thanks for all those lovely emails that you have been writing to me. I really am touched with your kindness. Apologies that I could not find time to express. Summer vacation kept me more than busy beside my topsy turvy life at that point in time.
With gratitude,
Monica
Very pretty and so creative!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous giveaway!!
Good morning Merry,
ReplyDeleteFor not being to visit the bit, everything seems to have caught up with me the last week, plus my obsession with the Olympics doesn't exactly help me get things done.
Your flowers are totally awesome and I love the colour, really super artwork.
