Cuttled Daisy Pop Up Card

I really like how this card turned out. I used Green Bazzill Bling for the base card. Then added a layer of yellow board which I had embossed using the cuttlebug embossing folder "Stylized Flowers'. I attached three material flowers (consisting of two material flowers) with a brad to the topper, finishing with a gold Letraset rub-on for the greeting. Inside I cut a pop-up that says 'Happy Birthday' using my craft-robo. Before attaching I embossed half of the pop up with the 'Stylized Flower' embossing folder and attached another material flower.

Four little yoyos in a row

I had these little notelet cards sitting on my desk. They were perfect to add a yoyo too. The tricky part then was adding jus a little more embellishment. The 1st notelet I finished off with a little lace down the side and the stem has the word 'carefree' rubbed on. The second notelet I thought just adding the stem and an organza ribbon was plenty. Third notelet, I machine stitched two lines around the edge of the card in white. Added a cross grain ribbon for the stem which I zig zagged up the centre. Then added a little pink cross grain bow. The last little notelet I think still needs a little something. Just not sure what the something is. I added a dark green wire stem and leaf to the yoyo and finished off with a strip of embossed black board. I embossed with the cuttlebug folder 'Swiss Dots'.

Yoyo Flower

Yesterday, I was busy and made 8 yoyo flower cards. I had a lot of fun along the way. The cards were all inspired by Kaye's layout over at Craftmad. This was my favourite. I used SU River Rock as the base card. Finally, I got to use the wrapping paper I wanted to use way back in the beach scene below. I attached a strip of the red and white wrapping paper and added lace for the edging, then attached three red buttons. I then adhered the yoyo flower and created a stem and leaves from red wire. Finished off by pin pricking the two right hand corners.

Lawn Bowls

I have made this card for my uncle whose birthday is this coming Friday. He used to be a greenkeeper for the locak bowls club so I am hoping that he enjoys this card. I used black leathercraft as the base card, then added a layer of SU Certainly Celery, then the front of an oval aperture card made from yellow leathercraft board. I attached the lawn bowls picture to the oval and then hot gold embossed around the edge of the oval, inked around the edge of the yellow card and added a brad in each corner. Finished off with two smaller lawn bowls pictures and a gold sticker happy birthday.

Party dress

I used purple card as the base. I had stamped the dress and shoe images at a stamping morning where a lovely lady allowed us to use her collection (large) of stamps. I coloured the dress using water colour pencils and cut it out. I added to straps with sewing thread. Made a little wire coathanger to hang the dress on. Coloured the shoes with water colour pencils. I needed one more item so made a small beaded necklace to add to the collection. I attached the oval topper and then ran a rolled ribbon around the edge and tied into a bow. This card was a lot of fun to make...took a while.

Pink Butterflies

I used blue card for the base. Added a strip of pink which I added dots of Kindy Glitz. Stamped some butterflies on pink board and cut the wings out. I then Kindy Glitzed the wings. The bodies I made by cutting a length of wire and folding in half, then thread pink beads on for the body. The two ends I curled to look like antennas.

Handbags and Card

Well I did it! I finished off the two projects I set for myself to do yesterday. First was these cute handbags for the Craftmad February Swap. One of these I am to fill with crafting embellishments. They only measure 5cm across....so it will be filled with small embellishments. The second my partner is to somehow use to decorate our card for a swap in March. I cut the little bags out using my craftrobo.... the craftrobo and I had words...well I did. One day I will figure out that machine. :-) I decorated the pink bag using little pink paper rosettes, the left over bits of gold stickers and a scrap of SU rose red which I cut to shape using fancy edged scissors. I also cut a third bag shape out of cream pearl like paper which I used to line the pink bag with. The green bag, my daughter decorated. The green leather like paper is from Blue Edge Crafts. Melissa used Kaisercraft pearl bling and gold butterfly stickers (Sticker Store). i think I will have to cut out another couple to decorate and keep here as they are too cute.

Back view This is the card I created for my Dad's birthday today. I used black leathercraft card for the base card. Layerd with SU Really Rust and SU Old Olive. Then used a picture from my sports book. Added black corner stickers and a gold vertical Happy Birthday Sticker. (Sticker Store). It ended up being a quick card for me but I love the result.

No Pictures

Sorry no photos today was too busy buying groceries and so forth yesterday. However, today should be a different story. I have every intention on completing my little paper bag for our swap over at Craftmad. I also need to make a card for my Dad's birthday tomorrow... nothing like leaving it till the last moment. I am also pulling apart a yoyo (suffolk puff) bedspread that my MIL made for my daughter. My daughter had it on her bed for a couple of years but it no longer suits her theme and has been sitting in the linen cupboard. I think this is a waste of all the time and effort that my MIL put into it. So I am making up a couple of cushion covers for my daughter and she will be able to keep them forever. The remainder I plan on turning into clowns or horses. I picked up patterns from my Mum yesterday, so a bit of sewing happening soon. Have a great Saturday everyone.

10 minute card

Good morning everyone, my provider has decided that I can play on the computer today. Yesterday, I just couldn't get online. So I set myself a challenge, I restarted the computer and had to make a card before it came back on. Well the computer does restart a little quicker than I can create a card but in the end this card did only take 10 mins to make. I used SU Bravo Burgandy for my base card, SU Rose Red paper, then I attached a ribbon, cuttlebugged the topper using the Swiss dots embossing folder. Then added a lovely saying that I received from a talented person in Canada, Deborah, (nice to be able to find a use for one of the tags). To finish off I added three punched out hearts and a Silver Kaisercraft bling to each. What a shame I didn't think of this for Valentines day.

Beach Scene

This is my desk at the end of making this card which took forever. See the red and white print. This is wrapping paper I used on a friends present and I loved the pattern. I thought it would be good on a card with one of these old sports photos. Well......

This is the card and as you can see no red and white. It just would not work not matter what background etc I used. For this card I used SU River Rock as the base card and inked around the edges. I cut an image from my sports illustration book and dabbed some ink colours onto the picture. The top paper is a scrap I collect ages ago and knew would come in handy one day. I used the SU Pricelss set for the flourish, flowers and So Kind, finished with lace and pearl bling.

Dress cards

Good morning everyone, on this lovely sunshiney day. Once I post this I am off to take Scruff for a quick walk and then who knows what will happen.

Today I have two cards that I did for a Craftmad Card swap last year, theme clothing. The first card I used SU Pale Plum as the base card and stamped the background using clear versa mark and spots from SU Fun Filled set. To finish off the background I hand sewed gold sequins around the card. I then gold embossed a piece of sewing pattern and attached the card behind the topper. The topper I used purple card topped with SU Sage Shadow, the corner I cut on my craft robo, then added a gold dress sticker from the Sticker Store.

The second card I used a purple card as the base card. Cuttlebugged cream card using the 'Bloom' embossing folder. I stuck a corset sticker to a piece of board and made a skirt from thin gold edge stickers then I cut out the dress image and attached to the card. Finished off with gold Happy Birthday stickers and three lilac pearl bling.

Cross Stitched Rose

Ruth gave me this stamped image as a birthday present. So not sure what company made the stamp but it sure is a lovely image. I coloured the rose in using watercolour pencils and an aqau pen. I attached it to a base card of SU Rose Red and then cross stitched on SU Always Artichoke.

Girls Special Day

I enjoy creating these girls so had another day of fun yesterday. I used SU Green Gable card for the base thena strip of Kaisercraft Playtime 'Laugh', next layer is Bazzill Bling. I machine stitched the girl topper on to the Bazzil Bling using straight and zig-zag stitch. The girls are created from my offcut box. I cuttlebugged the first girls dress using a foil pink board and 'Swiss Dots' embossing folder, a little bit of embroidery floss for the box. The middle girl I added a punched out flower with a bit of bling for the centre. Third girl I inked around the edge of the dress as I did with all the layers using SU Rose Red. Finished it off with a strip of SU Rose Red and 'Special Day' cut from a magazine.

Horse Lady

Another image from the wonderful book of sports images that I bought. I used SU So Saffron as the the base card. Topped with SU paper in the Rose Red theme. I inked around the edge of the card and the image with SU So Saffron. I used a Fiskars Emboss plus Punch for the corners of the image. Attached a strip of lace and a gold border sticker to the centre of the card. Three pearl bling from Kaisercraft. Along the top of the card I did some faux stitching.

Silver daisies

This time I tried glitter on Silver gloss card. I used SU Tempting Turquoise as the base card and then topped it with SU Pink Passion. I drew daisies on to silver gloss card with a black permanent marker then using a glue pen added glitters. I cut the gloss square into oblong shapes and attached to the card front. To finish off I added to blue eyelets and threaded a white ribbon through and tied into a bow. It needed something else so pinpricked around the right hand edge. Now this card is jetting it's way over to a girl in Finland for her birthday.
