Hi everyone, thanks so much for visiting. A friend asked me to make a Thank You card for her son's soccer team coach. I panicked a little as I had nothing soccer in my collection or so I thought. Yes, google to the rescue and I was inspired by some people using dies. Perfect, I thought I have my hexagonal Spellbinder dies.......which when I found them I discovered they are Octagons. So cut out about six from black and white card stock. Then I placed them on a piece of white card stock this is when I discovered that soccer balls are actually made up of pentagon shapes. I continued with my Octagons adhering them to white card stock then traced a circle shape and cut that out with my scissors to create the soccer ball. I must say I am really pleased with the end result. The base card is Stampin Up Wild Wasabi which I have a matching ink pad. So I inked up my JustRite letters to create the sentiment. I added a layer of green glitter paper for the bit of bling.
Wishing you all a wonderful day.
Brilliant card Merry, I like the design.

wow !! lovely ball best Thank you card for a coach..
ReplyDeleteYou are so creative! Like the card! I am now better, but am updating safety issues in the house, etc. Today I went to get a larger walker with a seat. Someone at church gave me one, but it was hard to fit my bottom in it. Next on the list is safety railings for my front porch and sidewalk. My feet are swelling and I only have one pair of shoes to wear -- men's thongs. Went shoe shopping today at an upscale (pricey) shoe store and the sandals that would have been perfect -- the straps that buckled weren't long enough to go over the top of my feet. I'm wearing compression tube socks on my feet and they have helped some. . . Did you work on organizing your crafting space too?
