Well, the new school year starts today for our daughter.  Strange only sending one child off to school. Our DD starts year 11 this year so very busy times ahead of her for the next two years.  On one hand she is very excited as she finally gets to do all the subjects she enjoys and does well at.  Art, Media etc....although she has to do English and Maths.  That is how she tells it anyway.

Today's photos are our trip from Osaka to Tokyo once again on the Shinkansen (Bullet) Train.  Yes, it is very fast but you don't feel that you are going any faster.  Also I thought the scenery would be a blur but no...you could see everything pass by.....just don't blink as you will miss it.  We all have comfy seats which can recline a little. Hi everyone, found a moment.  I have been busy working, food shopping and doing my first lot of Christmas shopping.  Pretty happy as I did get about half of it done.  Today was spent out in the garden...yes, my dreaded bamboo garden well what used to be bamboo garden.  In all the time we were chopping the bamboo down I never bothered about weeding or trimming the plants as it was just a mess.

Time for a shaped card and owls are so much fun to create. I started with an A4 piece of Kraft card which I folded in half and hand drew an owl shape.  Used my scissors to cut her out and then that shape as a template to cut out the owl from patterned paper - slightly smaller in size.  I attached this lovely patterned paper and then went around the edge adding dots of white gel pen.  I

Morning everyone,  I am having a love, hate relationship with this card. :-) One moment I like all the colours then the next there is just too much happening. The daffodil paper tole is the other image that came on the same sheet as the roses I did earlier here.   I do really like the gloss on this paper as the flowers come up so lovely and yes, it is a diecut sheet so makes me smile
