Halfway Post for Unstampabelles #20 - Use a Doily

Over at Unstampabelles this month we are asking you to use Doilies on your paper project.  It is time for a bit of half way inspiration so I decided to do a bit of origami.  I used this wonderful tutorial here to create the Doily Doves.  I then threaded them onto white cotton with some pearl like beads.  Now I have a wonderful hanging decoration to blow in the breeze.

So come on over to Unstampabelles and check out all the other entries and add yours.
The prize this month is a $25.00 gift certificate from Cardmaking Online.

I think it's time I shared something over at Make it Monday #128 - Always Anything Goes.
Just saw they have a Design Team call too.

Thank you for all you lovely comments and continuing to visit me.  I really do appreciate it. :-)

Little Fabric Houses - Craftmad Swap

Happy Valentines day everyone. :-)  Hubby and I don't do anything special on this day....I am afraid I think it is way too commercial.

I have been hanging off showing you these little houses I made for our Craftmad January Sewing Swap.  Mainly because I have been a little slack.  I had them all made on time it is the getting to the Post Office that slows me down.  Then one weekend I thought I would just parcel it up and mail it off using the stamps that I had in my wallet.  Well the parcel was returned to me a week later as I forgot when sending parcels overseas you have to fill out a customs slip.  Duh!  So then the parcel travelled in my car for the past week and yesterday I finally mailed it off.  One of these houses is now travelling to the UK to be with Mrs A.  I am not sharing which one as I would still like Mrs A to have a little surprise. :-)  I used this wonderful tutorial by Retro Mama to get me started on the houses.  I only needed to make one but thought they were so cute I wanted to keep two to add to the one that knew I would receive from our Craftmad swap.  You can visit the Craftmad gallery here and see the other little houses that were made.

Up close of each of the houses.

Have a lovely day everyone. :-)

Check out Rush'd Lady's blog 'Craftin' Bliss as she has dug out fabrics and sewn some houses.

Owl Magic Slider Card

Morning everyone, another week in February.  :-)  Well I managed to catch up on a few blogs yesterday and what busy people everyone has been.  So many wonderful projects and lots of inspiration.  I hope to check out a couple more today.   Today I am sharing with you the Magic Slider Card that I made for our daughters 17th birthday back in January.  Best thing was she had friends stay overnight the night before her birthday so I could spend time in my craft room and make it right under her nose.  Now when she first opened the card she thought 'gee, thanks Mum you could have at least coloured it'. Then I showed her the glittery tab to pull to reveal.......

Almost seeing him .........

The coloured owl here. :-) The wording says on the front "17...another year wiser" on the inside "and full of fun".

I tore some paper so it looked liked cloud edge then chalked around this to create a background for the owl.  The owl is a Whimsy Stamp which I coloured with my copics and added a touch of Kindy Glitz.  The tutorial I used was from Julie Davison but I can't seem to find it on her site to link to it.

Well have a lovely Monday or the end to your Sunday night.

Craftmad January Card Swap

Hi everyone, yes, I have been missing in action.  I think this will be the trend for me for the moment at least.  Only be  able to manage a couple of posts during the week and then hope to catch on everyones work on the weekends. :-)

This the second card I made for our Craftmad January Card Swap which had to use one or more dies.  I have used my Creatables butterfly on here which I cut out the butterfly shape from the green cardstock.  Then cut out a butterfly image from pink paper and inserted into the area on the green.  I used my Spellbinder Edgabilties along the bottom of the card added bling.  Also used the edgebilities on pink and white paper so that I could use the little butterflies on the card.  Layered up these wonderful paper flowers and added a bling centre.  Oh an more bling for the butterfly body.

Well I hope you all have a wonderful day whatever you have planned.  I am off to walk the dog and happy that the mornings are a little cooler these days.

DT Card for Unstampabelles Doily Challenge

Over at Unstampabelles this month we are asking you to use your dolies on your papercraft creations.  This is my card.  I have used Stampin Up (SU) card stock Poppy on Parade, SU patterned paper then SU Peach Parafait which I have embossed with my Victoria embossing folder.  I have used my doily to create a background for the flowers that I layered up.  I then added some torn leaves and the torn strip for the rub-on sentiment is the reverse side of the leaves.  Finished with a beaded pin.  Yes, this card was created for two reasons.  Design Team card for Unstampabelles and one of my Card Swaps for our February Swap over at Craftmad on which we had to include a beaded pin.  :-)

Our sponsor this month at Unstampabelles is
with a wonderful $25.00 gift certificate offered as the prize.

I would like to share this card with:
